Gen 7 Team

Description

A bit late, but I finally managed to have some art done.

I proudly present the team I passed the Pokemon league with, I was happy to have a challenging run through the Elite four, albeit a bit repetitive, and the champion, which in turn is a nice nod to the first gen (originally, Oak was going to be the very last trainer to face, but GF dropped the idea).

Nebby: Lunala.

The very first time I cared for a legendary, to the point I left the name we originally come to know them with. Thinking on a pose was a pain, since Lunala only has its default, open-winged, pose, but once I decided for something different, it come out nicely... sort of.

Sebastian: Decidueye

My starter, duh, it was a nice thing from GF to give us a Ghost type so early on and a cool-looking one at that, not much else to say other than he was the most well rounded of my team. If only the seventh gen wasn’t so hellbend on making all the new cool Pokemon slow as heck!

Cass: Salazzle

I catched the pre-evolution, meh. Didn't care. The I fought the totem one and I knew I needed one. But I noticed how feminine looking Salazzle was and decided to catch myself a female one, since I don't like feminine looking Pokemon been male... why would they do that Gardevoir and Lopunny, I don't know. Back on topic, it turns out I never knew about the female only evolution stuff until much, much latter. I just happen to thought 'I want it on female' and saved myself of the trouble most people had with Salazzle. As an extra note, she was my go to Pokemon when things got hard and was the one I finished the league with.

Setsuna: Lurantis

The moment I lay eyes on it, I was impressed by how cute the design was, but nothing more. My team was pretty much done by that time... then the totem Lurantis used Solar Blade and I wanted one. I name her after Setsuna F. Seiei for crying out loud! All left to do was for her to shout: I AM GUNDAM! She was the one to endure the most hits and deliver the most criticals out of affection... I don't know why but I found that adorable.

Frankie: Crabominable

Ugly? yes, do I care? Heck no! I got Frankie really early on the game, and unlike the next Pokemon, I keep her around at all times. Her defence stats were good and her punches were brutal, so I didn't care on the slightest when she evolved into a derpy looking thingie, I love her all the same.

Zap: Vikavolt.

The most situational one of my team, I originally used another electric type for most of my journey, but in the end I decided to use an all new team for the league, so Zap was put in. I love the design, don't get me wrong, but the fact that is so freaking slow kind of kill it for me. At least it packs such a punch it makes up for it.

You know, I wish they actually give Legendaries genders.
